Soft liners are similar to hard relines, except they offer a cushion inside the denture for patients who require more comfort as well as a better fit.

Soft liners can be done on any type of denture, but are mostly done in lower dentures for comfort while chewing.

Soft liner material is pink in colour and blends in nicely with the acrylic denture base. 

Most soft liners are done in approximately 60 minutes, while you wait, without having to leave the denture at the office for any additional time.

When cleaning dentures with a soft liner, be extra careful. Use your finger when “brushing” the area with the soft liner instead of a toothbrush. You can still soak your denture in a denture cleaner, but remember to remove the denture after 15 minutes and transfer it to clean water for the rest of the night.
